Pool parts resources
Checklists and matching guides to use while you identify a replacement part.
How to read a pool heater rating plate
Copy the brand, model, serial, BTU input, and fuel before you order a heater part. Natural gas and propane are not the same heater.
ReadHow to match a pool filter cartridge
Use the filter model and the cartridge length. A cartridge that is too short leaves a path around the element, and the pool never gets filtered.
ReadHow to match a replacement salt cell
Match the system brand and model, the cell's own model, and the gallon rating. A cell that fits the unions can still be the wrong size for the pool.
ReadHow to match a pool valve
Ball, check, diverter, and multiport valves do different jobs. Match the port count, the pipe size, and whether the ends are slip or threaded.
ReadHow to match a replacement pool skimmer
Measure the throat, the lid, and the pipe at the bottom of the skimmer. A lid that looks right can still be the wrong throat width.
ReadHow to match a pool drain cover
Match the frame opening and a flow rating at least as high as the pump on that line. A cover that merely looks similar is the wrong part.
ReadBrush, vacuum, or robot
A brush knocks dirt loose. A vacuum head sends it to the filter. A robot is its own machine. Match the brush to the pool surface.
ReadA simple pool maintenance calendar
Weekly tests, a monthly look at the equipment pad, and the seasonal jobs that keep filters, pumps, and chemistry in range.
ReadPool opening checklist
A restart list for a pool that was closed, and a shorter version for a pool that ran all year and is coming back from a repair.
ReadHow to match a replacement pool part
Use the equipment label, the number on the old part, and the pipe size. A photo match is the last check, not the first.
